Wild Acre on Sarah Raven's blog, Garlic and Sapphire

You know how I love my cutting patch, and you know how much I enjoy cut flowers, so you can imagine how delighted I was when I was asked if I would like to be on the writing team for Sarah Raven's blog, Garlic and Sapphire. It was actually going to one of Sarah's workshops that first made me believe I could grow my own flowers for cutting and her books have been my cutting patch bibles, so I am thrilled to bits to share my take on growing flowers and creating a productive garden on her blog.

My first blog post there has just gone live (eeek!), and I have included lots of info about sowing annual flower seed now for lots of beautiful flowers next summer. It is such an easy way to enjoy great bucketfuls of flowers for just a few pounds. It is always a little nerve wracking writing on some-one else's blog, let alone the blog of your all-time flower heroine, so I would be hugely delighted if you would be kind enough to hop over HERE and have a look-see! If you left a wee comment I would dance around my kitchen table!!:) You  think I'm joking? Thank you, Bxx

  6. How wonderful to write for Sarah. She is my cutting patch guru too. I'm hoping to get lots of sowing done this weekend. I ordered some orlaya a couple of weeks ago after having seen it on your blog. My flowers are still going strong. It feels so decadent to cut them and bring them indoors! Especially things like delphinium, which are getting a second flush.
