Hello Belinda: How beautifully you have captured the shifting season here in these marvellous photographs and words.
Whilst recently in the UK we definitely felt the chill of autumn in the evenings and early mornings. On our return to Budapest we are still holding on to summer with warm sunny days and balmy evenings. It seemed too soon to say goodbye to summer so we are pleased to have been given a second chance.
What a lovely post, Belinda. It is not yet fall here, but it will come soon enough. Am getting excited about my cutting garden, tho. So nice to have a fall project this year.
Eek! Autumn's coming! Great photography, really lovely shots.
And YES I do need to learn to grow my own flowers. I am drinking up the information in your Friday cut flowers posts. I have absolutely no idea where to start in my teensy patch of garden but I do know exactly what I want to do so I'll be extra interested in your blog from now on - I'm guessing I need to get started in autumn.

and EW! re: the bedsock/nan reference. Perhaps I ought to rethink my bedroom attire! ha!
Yes, I agree, the seasons are slowly changing. Summer is unfortunately on its way out, but then autumn has a different kind of beauty as captured by your camera.
Goodness Belinda, your photographs (and flowers) are really quite simply stunning... and no, I have not got my wine goggles on yet! Hope you and your family are enjoying the last weeks of summer. Abby xx
Oh my! What fabulous photos. I found your blog through Higgeldy Garden, I have just done a guest post for him, to be published tomorrow. I am so pleased I found you! I am getting to know my new camera and learning how to take a good photo, yours are inspirational.

Belinda,

ReplyDeleteDear Belinda,
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are stunning. I love your blog... as all garden and flower lovers do, I imagine.
Here in the Loire Valley autumn has not yet shown the tip of his nose (as the French say). However the trees are heavily laden with fruit.
Have a beautiful week.
