A poppyfull of sunlight


is there anything more lovely than a poppy filled with sunlight?


is there?


the toes of a newborn baby may take the prize, but honestly these sunlit poppies are hard to beat (even with bugs on!).

    We agree totally. In fact, we should count the rather blowsy herbaceous poppies as amongst our favourite perennials and used to grow many of them. Your images are wonderful.

    snap! We just had a week in Cornwall with the whole tribe, (14 of us and three dogs.) All staying in the family home in Cornwall, the water ran out half way through the week ( we are on a well.) In spite of us all having to beg showers wherever we could we all managed to smile through it!
    Love the poppies, are yours repeat flowering? Mine were over long ago. Oh, and yes we are still pinching ourselves that we have bagged such a great spot!
