That last photo is stunning. Hope all's good with you. I'm pleased to be able to comment again as blogger has been very unkind and stopped me from saying anything. Or maybe that was you...!!! Ax
Hello Belinda: We agree totally. In fact, we should count the rather blowsy herbaceous poppies as amongst our favourite perennials and used to grow many of them. Your images are wonderful.
Lovelier than mermaids' tresses or pink silk dresses... poppies will always steal the show! Stunning shots of stunning flowers, thanks for sharing. Jane Gray
snap! We just had a week in Cornwall with the whole tribe, (14 of us and three dogs.) All staying in the family home in Cornwall, the water ran out half way through the week ( we are on a well.) In spite of us all having to beg showers wherever we could we all managed to smile through it! Love the poppies, are yours repeat flowering? Mine were over long ago. Oh, and yes we are still pinching ourselves that we have bagged such a great spot!
Beautiful poppies. Sunlight showing through any petals is a joy.
ReplyDeleteYou mesmerize me with your photos of flowers.
